Traditional dishes on Santorini island

Even Santorini is an world-renowed tourism destination with mostly international hotel´s kitchen, there are a few very good and traditional taverns on the island. In such taverns you will not find only the famous Greek dishes "Souvlaci" or "Mousaca", but real traditional local food. If you leave the tourist centre of Thira town, you may find nice taverns in the villages of Ia, Megalohori, Pyrgos, Akrotiri or Perisa. If you are lucky, you will enjoy fresh made rabbit with onions, tomatokeftedes or even fresh fish. It is worth to discover the traditional Santorini!
